Tiffany Wu is a director, writer, and producer drawn to emotionally grounded stories that explore identity, cultural tension, and the messy beauty of imperfect relationships.
After two decades in visual effects producing, she made the leap into narrative filmmaking, merging a deep well of production expertise with a personal drive to tell bold, intimate stories.
Her creative pivot began during the pandemic—a moment of reckoning that made her realize that staying comfortable meant standing still. She hit pause on a successful career, returned to school, and earned her MFA from the American Film Institute’s Producing program (Class of 2024), fully committing to her evolution as a filmmaker.
Born in Taiwan and raised in California, Tiffany brings a cross-cultural lens to her work, shaped by years working across San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Beijing. Her experience spans Hollywood blockbusters and international co-productions, giving her a unique fluency in both creative storytelling and complex production logistics.
Now focused on directing, Tiffany is committed to uncovering the extraordinary in everyday life—stories told with humor, honesty, and heart. She thrives on collaboration, clear vision, and crafting character-driven narratives that linger long after the credits roll.
She is currently in post-production on Big Day, her directorial debut, and developing a slate of narrative projects centered on identity, culture, and emotional transformation.
